The Cookie Notice applies to Capillary applications. It explains how we use cookies
and similar technologies to recognise you when you visit our applications. It explains the nature of
these technologies and the reason we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on a user’s computer or mobile device when the user
visits an application. Cookies are widely used by application owners in order to make their
applications work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide other information such as
reporting information.
Wherever required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent before we place any cookies on
your device that are not strictly necessary for the functioning of our applications.
Cookies set by the application owner (in this case, Capillary) are called "first party cookies". Cookies
set by parties other than the application owner are called "third party cookies". Third party cookies
enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the application (e.g.
analytics). Third party cookie owners that set these cookies can recognise your computer both when
it visits the application in question and also when it visits certain other web applications.
Why do we use cookies?
Capillary uses cookies (both first and third party) for various reasons. Our first party cookies are
required for technical reasons in order for our applications to operate, and we refer to these as
"essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies.
The types of first and third party cookies served through our Websites and the purposes they
perform are described below.
“Strictly necessary” cookies, which are first party cookies that must be set to allow us to deliver
them to you and to provide specific services that you request from us. They are usually only set in
response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your
privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms.
“Performance” cookies are first party cookies that help us to gather data about how users use our
site and helps us with site analysis and enhancements. Performance cookies remain on your
computer even after you close your browser. All information collected by these cookies are used in
aggregated form, rather than linking it to individual application users. Wherever permitted by
applicable law, the deployment of first party performance cookies is automatically done when users
visit our applications. If users opt out of, or do not allow, these cookies (as applicable), we will not
know when they have visited our applications.
“Functionality” cookies, which could be both first party and third party, allow our site to remember
choices or preferences of the users, such as information on online forms or previous orders. These
cookies allow us to offer users a personalized experience while using the application. They are not
used to track your browsing activity on other applications. They may be set by us or by third party
providers whose services we have added to our pages. If users opt out of, or do not allow these
cookies then some or all of these services may not function properly.
How can I control cookies?
Users have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can make modifications to
your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies.
Cookie choices can be modified any time, by changing the web browser controls. If users choose to
reject cookies, they may still use our application though access to some functionality and areas of
our website may be restricted. Users may need to refresh their page for the modified settings to
take effect.
How often will you update this Cookie Notice?
Capillary will update this Cookie Notice from time to time as necessary in order to reflect, for
example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Please
therefore re-visit this Cookie Notice regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related
technologies.
The date at the top of this Cookie Notice indicates when it was last updated.
